Sneads Ferry man pleaded guilty to murder in heroin overdose.

In 2016, Jason “Wes” Sapp of Sneads Ferry, died from a drug overdose that deputies say was supplied by Jarred (Tyler) Eddington. Today, Jarred Eddington has pleaded guilty to second degree murder this morning in Onslow County courts. Eddington admitted supplying heroin to Jason “Wes” Sapp who died as a result.

In August 2016, Eddington made his first appearance in Onslow Co. courts to face a second degree murder charge for connection in the death of Jason “Wes” Sapp who was 21 at the time of his death. His autopsy report showed he had trace amounts of xanax and hydrocodone in his system and a lethal dose of fentanyl.
