Earl Kimrey indicted by an Onslow Co. Grand Jury on murder of Mariah Kay Woods.
Adolphus Earl Kimrey II, the live in boyfriend of Kristy Kay Woods, Mariah’s mother, was first charged on Dec. 2, 2017 with common law obstruction of justice, concealment of a death by unnatural causes, second degree burglary, larceny and possession of stolen property, all felony charges.
On Jan. 24, 2018 Kimery was rendered a first degree murder charge and felony child abuse inflicting a serious bodily injury.
He was scheduled for an appearance today, but we found upon arrival at the District Courthouse that he would not appear in open court today.
The next court date is set for Feb. 26th at 2 o’clock p.m. in Onslow Co. Superior Court where Attorney Earnie Lee, 4th District Prosecuting Attorney will hold a hearing determining whether the state will prosecute in a capital case.
The investigation is still ongoing.
Early in the day outside of District Court, family members sat on a bench chatting with an array of beautiful pink balloons in Mariah’s memory for her first Valentine’s Day in Heaven. (See photos on The Onslow Beat on FB.)
