Parts of North Carolina are seeing an unprecedented amount of rainfall that is causing extremely dangerous situations. Please continue to listen to emergency officials and take the necessary steps to keep you and your family safe. North Carolina has already been granted a
Major Disaster Declaration
and
Public Health Emergency Declaration
to streamline recovery and rescue efforts, and I will continue to ensure we have the resources needed to rebuild from Hurricane Florence.

FEMA has an app for constituents to upload pictures in order to document damage, apply for assistance, learn about the process, locate nearby shelters and local assistance in addition to numerous links and documents to help with preparedness, emergency relief and clean up/removal.
