Some Onslow County schools begin reopening Oct. 24.

After several weeks of school closings due to Hurricane Florence, Onslow County schools will begin to reopen next week in phases as of October 24, 2018. There are a number of schools deemed safe to open on Monday. Teachers and staff will be able to return October 22, 2018.

The first phase of schools to open are:

– Bell Fork Elementary
  • — Blue Creek Elementary
  • — Carolina Forest Elementary
  • — Clyde Erwin Elementary
  • — Dixon Middle School
  • — Heritage Elementary of Richlands

  • — Hunters Creek Elementary

  • — Jacksonville Commons Elementary

  • — Meadowview Elementary

  • — Morton Elementary

  • — Northside High

  • — Parkwood Elementary

  • — Queens Creek Elementary

  • — Richlands Elementary

  • — Sand Ridge Elementary

  • — Southwest Elementary

  • — Stateside Elementary

  • — Summersill Elementary

The following are deemed safe for opening on Thursday, October 24, 2018. Teachers and staff can return on Tuesday, October 22, 2018.

  • — Hunters Creek Middle

  • — Jacksonville Commons Middle

  • — New Bridge Middle

  • — Northwoods Elementary

  • — Onslow County Learning Center

  • — Richlands High

    Anticipated building release date is expected as of October 29, 2018.
    Teachers and staff can return Oct. 30. Classes resume for students on Nov. 1 at:

  • – Dixon High

  • — Jacksonville High

  • — Silverdale Elementary

  • — Southwest Middle

  • — Swansboro Middle

  • — Trexler Middle

Anticipated building release date- October 31, 2018.

Teachers and staff can return Nov. 1. Classes resume for students on Nov. 5.
