Jacksonville woman transported to Greenville in isolated shooting incident

One injured and transported in afternoon incident.

At approximately 1:50 PM on Friday, October 26, 2018, officers of the Jacksonville Police Department responded to a report of a shooting in the parking lot of Dunkin Donuts, 433A Western Boulevard.

Officers found one victim suffering from gunshot wounds. Officers established a perimeter and began a search of the area to pursue the shooter. The victim, Mary Susan “Susie” Pryor Montag, 52, was transported to a medical facility for treatment of her injuries. The suspect remains at large.

“Detectives have identified a person of interest” said Deputy Chief Ashley Weaver. “We believe this to be an isolated incident.”

“We are in the preliminary stages of this shooting investigation and unable to release any additional information at this time” said Lt. Norman Davis, JPD Investigative Services Division.
