Man arrested again with child crimes the second time this year
For the second time in less than 6 months, a Hubert man has been arrested for indecent liberties on a child.
Edward Joseph Hornbeck Jr. was arrested by Onslow County Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit August 21, 2018 for exposing himself and having inappropriate interaction with a juvenile under the age of 12. Since that time, Swansboro Police Department detectives contacted the Special Victims Unit stating that another incident involving Hornbeck had come forward that occurred in Onslow County. Special Victims Unit detectives investigated that incident and additional charges were obtained.
The investigation revealed that Hornbeck exposed himself and had inappropriate contact with a child, this time under the age of 5. Hornbeck, 69-years-old of Villa Park Drive in Hubert was arrested December 10, 2018 and charged with:
- Felony Indecent Exposure
- Misdemeanor Indecent Exposure
- Felony Indecent Liberties with a Child
Hornbeck was transported to the Onslow County Detention Center under a $50,000 secured bond. His first court appearance is scheduled for December 11, 2018.
