Onslow man arrested for vehicle break ins in Richlands

An Onslow County man has been arrested for breaking into vehicles in the Richlands area.

On December 6, 2018, deputies responded to Ivy Brook Court and Harvest Moon Drive, both in Richlands, for reports that vehicles had been broken into. The suspect was caught on video surveillance and upon investigation, Sebastian Robert-Michael Moody was identified as the perpetrator. Moody, 23-years-old of Grassy Meadow Drive, Richlands, was arrested December 17, 2018 and charged with:

  • (2) Counts Breaking and Entering Motor Vehicle
  • (1) Count Misdemeanor Larceny

Moody was transported to Onslow County Detention Center under a $10,000 unsecured bond.

Onslow County Sheriff’s Office wants to remind everyone to keep their vehicle and home doors and windows locked. There has been a significant amount of vehicle break-ins within the past year where the suspect was able to gain entry through an unlocked door or an open window.
