Man arrested for felony charges for tractor equipment theft from a Jacksonville residence
A man in jail for unrelated charges, was arrested for stealing heavy equipment from a job site.
On March 27, 2019, Onslow County Sheriff’s Office Uniformed Patrol responded to a residence on Holly Grove Court in Jacksonville for a report that a tractor and sod roller were stolen.
Onslow County Sheriff’s Office Detectives received a tip from a citizen that led them to Michael Hancock. The equipment, valued at $22,000, was located and recovered at Hancock’s residence, 127 Floyd Pond Road, Richlands. Hancock, 36-years-old, currently in the Onslow County Detention Center was charged with Felony Larceny and Felony Possession of Stolen Property. He was given a $15,000 secured bond.
