OCSO is seeking information about a shooting leaving two victims injured
JACKSONVILLE, NC- Onslow County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help obtaining information about a drive-by shooting that occurred on Myna Drive Sunday, September 15, 2019.
Onslow County Sheriff’s Office received a report at 3:00 PM of a drive-by shooting on Myna Drive in the Gum Brach Road area of Jacksonville. Deputies responded and discovered two male subjects had been shot, both receiving potential life-threatening injuries.
The victims, Daqaun Torres-Huff, 22 of Myna Drive and Steven Lamar Lewis, 21 of Carole Drive, Jacksonville were both transported by EMS to the Naval Trauma Center at Camp Lejeune. One of the injured individuals was later transferred to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.
Witnesses described seeing a light-colored midsize SUV as the possible suspect vehicle. Detectives are currently working leads on the shootings and are asking anyone with information to call the Sheriff’s Office.
A motive has not been confirmed. Additional information will be released as it becomes available. The victims were targeted, and it is not believed to be random.
The public is not believed to be in any danger.
