On Friday, October 4, 2019, members of the Onslow County Sheriff’s Office Drug Enforcement Unit conducted “Operation Iron Rooster.” This operation was the result of an investigation that began after the Drug Enforcement Unit received numerous complaints from citizens about drugs being sold throughout Onslow County.

 

The operation was conducted in partnership and cooperation with Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) and N.C. Department of Probation and Parole conducted after nearly a year-long operation seeking 42 targets, with 30 being arrested at the time of this press release.

MISSING: 32-year-old Jessamyn Martin last seen in the area of White Oak River Campground

Jessamyn Ruth Martin is a 32-year-old white female described as being 5’03, 120 lbs., with medium length blonde hair and blue eyes. Martin was expected at an address on Ramsey Rd. on August 29, 2019, but never arrived. Martin is believed to be driving a white SUV (unknown make or model) and to have two dogs with her.

SILVER ALERT: 19-Y-Old Lexus Mercedes Benz George Missing from Mt. Olive

 North Carolina Center for Missing Persons issued a report through the North Carolina Department of Public Service issuing a silver alert announcement on Monday Aug. 19, 2019, for a 19 -year-old young woman, Lexus Mercedes Benz George. Citizens are asked to be on the lookout for Lexus Mercedes Benz George. She is believed to be suffering from some form of other cognitive impairment.

She is described as:

Height: 5′ 5″

Weight: 130 pounds

MISSING: 23-year-old mother has been missing for six weeks from Holly Springs

The Holly Springs Police Department is attempting to gather information on the whereabouts of 23-year-old, Monica Moynan who has been missing for at least six weeks now.

Ms. Moynan was last seen in Holly Springs in March of 2019 and reported by her mother on Tuesday, July 22, 2019

Holly Springs PD Spokesman Mark Andrews told CBS17 in an interview that they are focused on this as a missing persons case. CBS17 Reporter, Kayla Strayer reported an interview with the sister of Moynan that you can see here.

Monica Moynan is last known to have been seen for certain in the Holly Springs area on March 30th leaving questions for all, mainly, “Where is Monica Moynan?”

Monica’s mother, Melanie Day Tucker,  has been relentless in advocating for information regarding her daughters disappearance, safety and whereabouts since becoming aware that she is in fact missing.

Missing Person Investigation is ongoing for James Wilson, Jr. one year later

(Jacksonville, NC)- The investigation to find missing person James Wilson, Jr. continues. On Thursday, May 31, 2018, Jacksonville Police Department issued a Silver Alert for James Wilson, Jr., a 78-year old man who apparently walked away from his home in the Country Club Road area. A year has passed since this investigation began. Detectives have investigated dozens of tips, but none have led to finding Mr. Wilson. Detectives are looking for assistance from the community.

Mr. Wilson suffers from dementia. Mr. Wilson is a black male, 5’11” tall and weighs approximately 196 pounds. He has gray hair and brown eyes.

We have asked residents to check infrequently used buildings on their property such as storage sheds or buildings not used daily.

“During the investigation, we learned that Mr. Wilson may have hitch-hiked in the past. We ask that anyone who may have picked up someone matching Mr. Wilson’s description to please give us a call” said Captain Mike Capps, Supervisor, JPD Investigations Division. “We appreciate the continued assistance from the public in calling in with information.”

Mr. Wilson’s daughter, Jayna Wilson has been his biggest advocate since the beginning of the disappearance of her father. Jayna took to social media herself to encourage people to share the posts about her father and to continue looking for him, or any clues that might lead to him.

BUSTED: “Operation Royal Taken Down” knocked the Aryan Kings Gang off their throne in Sneads Ferry

Several people have been arrested on felony drug charges after the conclusion of “Operation Royal Taken Down.”

On Wed. May 22, 2019, investigators with the Onslow County Sheriff’s Office Drug Enforcement Unit investigated the criminal activity of Aryan Kings Gang members in and around the Sneads Ferry Community of Onslow County. Members of the Onslow County Sheriff’s Office Crime Reduction Team 2 executed two traffic stops during this investigation, resulting in the seizure of user quantities of marijuana, heroin, crystal meth and $14,612.00 in US currency. Information developed during the investigation indicated that the source of the suspected narcotics was coming from 1417 Old Folkstone Road. A search warrant was granted to search the premises of 1417 Old Folkstone Road, being the residence of David Craig Milam. During the search of the residence, narcotics investigators located the following items: (3) pistols; (3) rifles:

27.5 grams of heroin; 29.9 grams of crystal methamphetamine; digital scales and glassine bags for re-packaging. One of the pistols was reported stolen from Pender County Licensed Firearms Dealer.

MISSING: 15-year-old Arli Hernandez reported missing Wednesday out of New Hanover

New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office needs the public’s help finding a missing teen.

Sheriff’s office says Arli Noemi Bamaca Hernandez, age 15, was reported missing Wednesday, April 24th.

She was last seen at 5140 Carolina Beach Road, according to NHSO.

She is 5’4″ and weighs around 130 pounds. Arli has brown eyes and long brown hair. She was last seen wearing black shirt, light blue pants, and red high-top Vans sneakers.

She attends Wilmington Early College.

Onslow County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a reported missing adult with medical issues.

On April 15, 2019, deputies responded to a residence on Rocky Run Road, Jacksonville regarding this missing person. Jose Soto-Rosario was reported missing by family members that last had contact with him approximately a month and a half ago.

Jose is a 54-year-old black male, 6’1” in height, approximately 250 lbs., with close-shaven black hair. It is not known what he was last wearing or his method of travel.

UPDATE: OCSO is underway with a homicide investigation seeking the public’s help

OCSO is underway with a homicide investigation and seeking the public’s help building a timeline leading up to the death of Mr. James Pannoni. Pannoni, who was found dead this week after being reported missing by his daughter from Massachusetts when she was unable to reach her father since his birthday last month.

Onslow County Sheriff Hans Miller conducted a press conference today issuing an update on the homicide investigation of Mr. James Pannoni who was found dead in his home earlier this week. No additional detailed information is available for release at this time regarding the investigation, otherwise, they are awaiting the results of the autopsy and cause of death.

The Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in locating a Taylor Owens. Taylor is 14-years-old with long brown hair and brown eyes. She was seen running and getting into a Dark PT Cruiser on 04-07-19 at around 6:30 pm on McBrayer Springs Road in Shelby.

SILVER ALERT: 81-year-old woman missing from Spring Lake

The Spring Lake Police Department is attempting to locate an elderly woman, Margarete Schneidereit Scott, 81-years-old.

Scott was last seen by family members leaving her residence in Spring Lake to go to the Cross Creek Mall in Fayetteville, NC around 2pm on Saturday, April 6, 2019.

Scott may be suffering from memory loss or some other cognitive impairment. She was driving a white 2007 Toyota Avalon, NC registration HD6067A.

23-Year-Old Jemerius Monte Baymon has been reported Missing from the Piney Green area of Jacksonville, NC. This remains an open investigation.

UPDATE: Jemerius’s mother Lakesha Baymon Swan took to social media yesterday afternoon to announce that their son has been located alive and safe.


The Jacksonville Police Department is asking for the assistance of the public in a missing person case. Jemerius Monte Baymon, 23, was reported missing by his parents on March 24, 2019. Jemerius Baymon was last seen on Friday, March 22, 2019, in the area of Marshall Chapel Church near Piney Green Road.

Baymon’s mother took to social media in a post pleading for help locating her son.

Jemerius Baymon is described as a black male with a goatee, approximately 5’11” tall and weighing 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing a gray zippered sweatshirt with jeans.

“This is an open and active investigation” said Captain Mike Capps, Supervisor of the Investigative Services Division. “Even the smallest bit of information may be of assistance to detectives in locating Jemerius Baymon.”

UPDATE: Search for missing Charlotte woman continues after her car was found at Lake Wylie

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s Missing Person Unit is continuing their investigation into the disappearance of Vatsla Watkins.

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s Missing Person Unit is continuing their investigation into the disappearance of Vatsla Watkins.

Friday, March 22, 2019 at around 8:30 a.m., officers in the Steele Creek Division located the victim’s vehicle near the 16300 block of York Road.  Officers on scene partnered with the CMPD’s Missing Person Unit, Aviation Unit, Canine Unit, Lake Unit and CFD to canvass the area in attempts to locate Ms. Watkins.  At approximately 5:00 p.m., this search concluded; however, the victim was not located.  Detectives with the Missing Person Unit are continuing their efforts in locating Ms. Watkins. Consultation with Charlotte Fire will make decisions on search efforts for tomorrow, Saturday, March 23rd.

UPDATE: Former Mecklenburg GOP Chairman’s wife Vatsla Watkins found in Lake Wylie

MISSING: Wife of Former Mecklenburg Co. GOP Chairman Curtis Watkins, has been missing since Monday from their Charlotte home. Vatsla Watkins, age 39, last seen Monday leaving their home and hasn’t been seen or heard from by family or friends since.

UPDATE: On March 31, 2019 at 5:45 PM a 911 call came in stating a person was floating in Lake Wylie by the Buster Boyd Bridge. After further investigation by detectives, the victim was identified as that’s the Watkins. She was reported missing on 03/19/19. There is no foul play suspected at this time. The cause of death is under investigation.

CMPD’s Lake Wylie Boat Patrol and the Charlotte Fire Department responded to the scene Sunday. The command center for the investigation was 16310 York Road at Pier 49 Marina.

Vatsla Watkins is the wife of the former Mecklenburg Co. GOP Chairman, Curtis Watkins.

Vatsla Watkins was a DIY Fashion Blogger who offered instructions and tutorials on how to make your own clothing.

Police are looking for a missing woman who was last seen leaving her Charlotte, NC home on the morning of Monday, March 18th.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department reports that, 39-year-old Vatsla Watkins is missing and are asking for the public’s help to find her.

CMPD met with Watkins’s family on March 18 at apx 1 p.m.

Watkins is said to have left the residence during the early morning hours in her silver, 2004 Mercedes-Benz C230. This car is described as a four-door sedan with a Carolina Panthers North Carolina license plate: 8215CP.

Watkins is described as:

• HEIGHT: 5′4″

•HAIR COLOR: black

•EYES: brown

•CLOTHING DESCRIPTION: She was last seen wearing and black lightweight jacket and blue jeans.

Watkins has not been seen or heard from by her family and friends since she left.

Watkins is the wife of former Mecklenburg Co. GOP Chairman, Curtis Watkins.
